AboutWell, anyone who has been in the "dolling world" longer than two years will know or at least heard of the Doll Tutorial Search Engine, which was owned by Xandorra. It was located at dtse.xandorra.net, but it is now closed.
I heavily relied on this site during my early dolling days, and thought it was a brilliant idea and resource. I was really sad when it closed, as even the most "experienced" dollers can improve or learn something new, and there are new dollers cropping up all the time who need a little nudge in the right direction. When the site closed I vowed that if it didn't reopen or that if no one else reopened one I would do so - even if it were only for the benefit of myself and my friends. So here it is. I completely credit Xandorra for the idea, and I hope that this can be as helpful for others as DTSE was for me. Linking backLinking back to the Doll Tutorial Directory is completely voluntary, though it would be greatly appreciated. You can pick up a direct-linkable button here. Submitting a siteTo submit a site, go to the appropriate category and click on the "Add a link to this category" link on the right menu. Fill out the fields and submit. The description must be 50-300 characters long. You may upload an image to display the end result (recommended, as people are more likely to click the link if they can see what they can make). Images over 300 x 500 pixels will be resized. Tip: It's best if your image has a white or coloured background - transparent backgrounds will turn black. You may submit tutorials made by others if you think they are helpful - especially if the creator isn't around any more. You may submit tutorials hosted on deviantArt. You may submit a tutorial to more than one category if it fits in them. You will have to go to each individual category and fill out the form multiple times though, sorry. Suggesting a categoryIf you think there is a category that could be added, simply click on the "suggest category" link on the top menu. |
